Built in 1981 and newly reconstructed in 2011, 5,500 seat Alytus Arena is home to BC Alytus, a basketball team playing in the local LKL and Baltic BBL leagues.

The arena will be hosting the Group C games of EuroBasket 2011 from 31 August 2011 to 5 September 2011.
